A leading certification company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Engineer to assist with ECAS/G-Mark certification for electrical products. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and over 3 years of experience in product certification. Responsibilities include ensuring performance expectations are met and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is familiar with IEC standards and has strong technical document analysis skills.

Overview

Assist and drive approvals and ECAS/G-Mark certification for Electrical products accessing the regional market as part of certification team

Competencies

• Familiarity with IEC standards concerning domestic & home appliances and consumer electrical products
• Ideally, experience in the subject of restriction of hazardous substances
• Basic understanding of energy efficiency for home appliances, lighting products, luminaries and lighting
• Knowledge of equipment for use in explosive atmosphere
• Experience in ISO 9001 and IEC 17025 is preferred
• Good IT literacy skills (Microsoft Office)
• Experience in testing and/or certification of electrical products
• Familiarity with laboratory testing methods
• Ability to scrutinize and compare technical documents
• Drive performance by ensuring performance expectations are met
• Ability to review constructively the work of other engineers
• Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service
• Highly energized mind-set with willingness and desire to learn and adapt individually
