Job Summary

Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Greet customers, provide information about products/services, take orders and process payments accurately
• Handle cash transactions with customers using cash registers
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets to customers
• Balance cash drawers at the end of each shift including counting cash, checks and credit card payments
• Keep track of all transaction data by entering it into the POS system accurately
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies/procedures
• Provide excellent customer service at all times

Qualifications and Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent certification
• Previous experience as a Cashier in a retail environment preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills • Proficiency in basic math concepts • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Basic knowledge of computer systems desirable
