The Team

The Infrastructure and Capital Projects (Infra) team focuses on improving return on investment capital and reducing the risks specific to capital projects. The Infra team is built on deep industry sector expertise with a demonstrably differentiated ability to address the most complex business problems and by supporting our owner/operator/contractor clients with the expertise of our deep project. Alvarez & M's ultimate goal is to reduce the level of uncertainty associated with the development and operational costs of your projects, contributing to greater shareholder value drawn from procurement through execution and asset management through different solutions.

How you will contribute

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Operations Manager in Dubai or Abu Dhabi to oversee critical operational, resourcing and financial performance processes for our regional Infra practice. You will support multiple P&L leaders, ensuring accurate timesheet charging, utilization tracking and maintaining the effective use of resource management tool. You will also support in providing accurate financial tracking and timely P&L reporting that enable business growth and informed decision-making. The Business Operations Manager will report to the Business Unit Lead and the Regional Operations Director Middle East.

• Manage and maintain collections forecast data in Salesforce and PowerBi, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely updates.
• Monitor and promote accurate timesheet entries across the organization, supporting utilization analysis and workforce planning.
• Facilitate project kick-off sessions and embed risk management practices and tools in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring continuous risk identification, analysis, and mitigation throughout delivery.
• Oversee the consistent use and optimization of staff and timesheet management tools.
• Collaborate closely with Managing Directors to support their operational and financial management needs.
• Track, analyze, and report key financial and operational performance indicators, including revenue, margins, utilization, and other P&L drivers.
• Run required Infra coordination meetings and produce the supporting reporting packs, actions, and follow-ups.
• Consolidate and prepare regular performance dashboards and reports, providing actionable insights to P&L leaders and senior management.
• Partner with Finance to ensure alignment between operational data and financial results.
• Identify process gaps and independently implement best practices to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of operations.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Leverage Excel, ERPs, and other reporting tools to conduct analyses, develop insights, and support decision-making.

• Proven experience with Salesforce, Excel, PowerBI and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of consulting firm operations and project billing.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Prior experience supporting senior management (MD level).
