• Design and Development: Assembling medical devices, software, and systems, such as artificial organs, prosthetics, diagnostic machines (MRI, CT scanners), and surgical robots.
• Installation and Maintenance: Install, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on medical equipment within hospitals and research facilities.
• Safety and Effectiveness Testing: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of prototypes to ensure they meet performance standards and safety regulations.
• Technical Support: Provide high-level troubleshooting and repair for complex medical systems to ensure minimal downtime.
• Training and Guidance: Educate healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, on the safe and effective operation of new medical technologies.
• Research and Collaboration: Work with scientists and medical professionals to research biological systems and apply engineering principles to clinical problems.
