To ensure optimum repair quality for service customer vehicles in accordance with required standards and successfully contribute in achieving Service Department target and the organization vision and mission. To repair and overhaul the mechanical parts of motor vehicles such as the engine, the transmission (clutch, gear box and differential), and the suspension systems (springs, steering, brakes, wheels and tires).
Roles and Responsibilities
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment effectively to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of customer vehicles, tools, and equipment within the workshop environment.
- Collaborate with service advisors and team members to provide technical insights and updates on repair progress to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for self and colleagues.
- Stay up to date with the latest technical advancements, service bulletins, and product updates through continuous learning and development.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to accommodate operational demands and meet service deadlines.
- Uphold the highest level of professionalism, ethical standards, and a customer‑centric approach in all service interactions.
- Ensure adherence & compliance to policies, procedures, ISO standards, Health & Safety requirements, ethical code of conduct & values.
Qualifications / Requirements / Experience
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
- Must read, interpret and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
- Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Minimum Diploma or Certification in Automotive Mechanics or equivalent required.
- Experience as a technician or prepared to do on‑the‑job training.
- Understanding of automotive air‑conditioning systems.
- Ability to use the diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with heavy equipment and as a diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge, or prepared to do on‑the‑job training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required.
- Good time management skills.
- Experience within a dealership environment preferred.
- Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
