Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Associate Landscape Architect with 1215 years of professional experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading projects and multidisciplinary teams managing complex design processes and ensuring high-quality delivery that meets both client needs and project deadlines. This role requires a balance of design excellence, technical expertise and leadership capabilities to guide teams through all phases of landscape and urban design projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning design and delivery of a wide range of landscape architecture and urban design projects from concept to completion.
- Manage and mentor project teams fostering collaboration, innovation and professional growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients ensuring effective communication and alignment with project goals and expectations.
- Oversee project schedules, resources and budgets ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Review and provide quality assurance for design documents, technical drawings and reports.
- Contribute to business development efforts including proposals, presentations and client relationship management.
- Collaborate with other disciplines (planning, architecture, engineering, environmental design) to provide integrated design solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, sustainability standards and innovative design approaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture (or equivalent).
- 1215 years of relevant professional experience in landscape architecture and urban design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership in significant projects across various sectors (urban design, public realm, infrastructure, mixed‑use developments etc.).
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation and client management skills.
- Proficiency in design and project management software (AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, BIM etc.).
- Professional licensure or chartership (preferred).
- Accredited BSAL or MLA from an accredited program is preferred.
- Experience in international companies in the US/China/EU is desirable.
