ASSISTANT RESIDENT ENGINEER (SEWERAGE)

Job Summary

KN International is seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer to join our team. This role involves overseeing the construction and of sewerage infrastructure projects ensuring compliance with local regulations and coordinating construction activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction supervision project management and stakeholder coordination within the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer (RE) in managing construction contract administration ensuring efficient correspondence submittals and RFIs with contractors.
• Supervise and direct the construction inspection team to ensure all contractor activities are adequately covered.
• Oversee all aspects of construction activities ensuring quality and compliance with contract documents.
• Monitor and enforce contractor adherence to approved site health & safety plans.
• Review and track contractor progress including materials used onsite storage manpower and equipment deployment.
• Coordinate construction activities and interfaces with other contractors onsite.
• Attend and actively participate in weekly monthly and other progress meetings.
• Identify constraints analyze risks and recommend corrective measures to maintain project timelines.
• Review inspectors daily reports and prepare the engineer s daily diary ensuring accurate project documentation.
• Provide oversight and guidance on work assignments site performance and contractor operations.
• Maintain continuous inspections and report contractual and procedural matters to the Resident Engineer.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 1012 years of experience in sewerage projects preferably within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of local regulations standards and best practices in sewerage projects.
• Proven expertise in project management construction oversight and stakeholder engagement in the UAE.
• Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Proficiency in project management software CAD tools and other relevant technology platforms.
• Willingness to be based in Al Dhafrah Western Region as required.
