Job summary

A leading hotel chain located in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a Marketing Communications Coordinator to develop and oversee communication strategies aligned with their marketing plan. Key responsibilities include managing relationships with media, monitoring public perception, and ensuring consistent high standards in all promotional materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, be proactive in community engagement, and ensure the hotel's online presence is dynamic and effective. This full-time position does not offer remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication objectives and strategies.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of communication activities through ROI analysis.
  • Maintain active contacts with the press and key media.
  • Monitor public attitudes and statements about the hotel.
  • Establish an integrated communication program.
  • Assess advertising needs and opportunities for the hotel.
  • Develop proposals for sales promotions with external partners.
  • Act as liaison between the hotel and PR agency.
  • Create press kits and releases with PR agency.
  • Maintain community contacts and represent the hotel at public functions.
Job description
  • To develop implement maximize monitor and evaluate the hotels communication objectives strategies including advertising public relations and graphics and collateral so as to support the objectives set in the Marketing Plan.
  • To measure interpret prioritize and evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities through an ROI analysis and to reevaluate programs on an ongoing basis so as to achieve / exceed the objectives as outlined in the Communication Plan.
  • To develop and maintain active contacts with the press and key media.
  • To monitor all current attitudes and public statements concerning the hotel in foreign and local media.
  • To establish a fully integrated communication program as outlined in the Marketing Plan.
  • To ensure adequate targeted publicity and coverage of the Hotels positioning promotional programs corporate image building and other activities.
  • To assess advertising needs and opportunities for the hotel and obtain initial approval of local media campaign proposals from the Director of Sales & Marketing and General Manager.
  • To ensure all Food & Beverage advertising is of consistent high standards while assessing market standards trends and competitor activity.
  • To recommend and develop proposals and direct and implement below the line sales promotions with external partners such as credit card companies banks department stores airlines etc to support the advertising and sales campaigns.
  • To establish and maintain the hotel library and photographic image filing
  • To act as the liaison between the hotel and the appointed PR agency to generate awareness and write ups of the hotel according to the marketing objectives.
  • To create property press kits press releases and creative communication of news worthy items with the PR agency.
  • To continuously update press kits.
  • To develop good community contacts among government businesses associations etc and represent the hotel at public functions.
  • To support adhoc events and or projects in the community.
  • To maintain a perpetual analysis of competitors marketing and communication activities in the Ras Al Khaimah market.
  • To have a thorough knowledge of competitive marketing business strategies in the Ras Al Khaimah market.
  • To maintain accurate records of marketing expenditures future commitments and remaining budget for the year.
  • To obtain and maintain an awareness of community business political and social factors which may affect the hotel.
  • To ensure the hotels web pages are up to date and advice on keeping the site dynamic for Internet related exposure and advertising.
  • To supervise appointed advertising agency with design and lay out coordination and production of collateral ads and graphics.
  • To ensure the correct policy and brand standards are followed by the hotel in all marketing collateral advertising and eCommerce.
