Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Architect open to multiple locations, with a preference for Ras Al Khaimah or Dubai.

Job Overview

As an Architect, you will manage architectural design coordination from project initiation through completion, ensuring timely delivery of drawings, compliance with quality and QHSE standards, and effective coordination with consultants, project teams, and subcontractors. You will contribute to zero‑error design and execution, support project feasibility and tendering processes, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all consultant drawings are received at the beginning of the contract.
  • Prepare and submit all related shop drawings at project sites in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the proper control of the distribution of all drawings in the project in accordance with the project contract requirements.
  • Prepare all as‑built/ shop/ working drawings in compliance with the Quality Assurance Procedure.
  • Store all documents (soft copy) in the correct format, sequence and order in compliance with 4Projects.
  • Consult with other team professionals about the design of the working environment and keep the project team apprised.
  • Prepare and present feasibility reports and design proposals to the project team.
  • Advise the Project Management team on the practicality of their project.
  • Specify the nature and quality of materials/alternative materials required as per project contract and requirement.
  • Prepare tender applications and presentations for subcontractors.
  • Negotiate with sub‑contractors and other professionals as and when necessary.
  • Prepare applications for planning and building control departments if stated in a project contract or specific requirement.
  • Prepare tender documents for sub‑contracts.
  • Review all tender drawings/documents and raise RFIs (request for information) to all necessary parties.
  • Coordinate the project with sub‑contractors.
  • Attend coordination meetings with all necessary parties as required.
  • Coordinate the project from start to finish.
  • Perform regular site visits to monitor work progress, ensuring that the project is running on time and to budget.
  • Resolve problems and issues that arise during construction.
  • Ensure that the environmental impact of the project is limited.
  • Arrange periodical performance appraisals of the Design & Project Coordination team and submit to Head – Manager – Infrastructure & Design, Manager Projects/Project Manager functionally, Senior Architect and Chief Technical Officer technically.
  • Promote QHSE within the projects and ensure at all times that quality, environmental, health and safety procedures are followed and continued improvement is achieved until effectiveness of the Integrated Management System is achieved.
  • Other duties as directed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture.
  • Over 8 years of experience.
  • Specialized training in Construction Management, LEED certification, AutoCAD, Rivet, Architectural Desktop & 3D software.
  • Experience in specialized building construction (e.g., hospitals, hotels, institutions, resorts, public transport).
  • Experience in infrastructure construction fields, particularly roads & bridges, water transmission pipelines, pumping stations & reservoirs.
  • Ability to work across multiple locations with a preference for Ras Al Khaimah or Dubai.
