About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounts payable to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, hands-on experience with financial reporting, and the ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations with precision and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest IFRS standards and ensure proper implementation within the company's financial practices.
- Prepare reports and reconciliations to ensure adherence to IFRS requirements.
- Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with IFRS during external audits.
- Maintain and oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Monitor and reconcile all balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights for financial planning and decision-making.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to strengthen internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Collaborate with the tax team to support tax planning, reporting, and audits.
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business objectives.
- Communicate financial results to senior management, offering explanations and guidance on trends and variances.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2-4 years of proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within the hospitality, real estate, or property management industry.
- Solid knowledge of accounting regulations and standards (e.g., IFRS)
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
