Job Title: Accounts Manager - Commercial
Responsibilities
- To conceptualise, frame and implement marketing plans to achieve growth in the Bulk LP Gas Market share and profitability objectives of the company.
- To manage the Bulk marketing functions in the company and draw up short-term and medium-term plans and supervise, motivate team for higher performance.
- Drives strategic planning and sales efforts for overall growth of the Bulk LP Gas market and profitability.
- Undertakes market study to determine the current and prospective market segments, suggests strategies and initiates appropriate action to meet opportunities at optimum pricing structures.
- Identifies new prospects for Bulk LP Gas and provides techno-commercial feasibility solutions to prospective customers and interacts with consultants, contractors and users to promote LP Gas use in new projects.
- Develops new applications of LP Gas and promotes use of LP Gas as a replacement / alternate fuel.
- Manages and develops the Bulk LP Gas distribution channel to ensure safe and efficient supply, product planning and timely payment recovery.
- Organises promotion events / training programmes for Bulk LP Gas customers.
- Acts as a focal point for effective dissemination of information, as required for internal as well as external customers.
- Ensures quality and customer service objectives are met and focuses on continual improvement.
- Keeps abreast of commercial and industrial developments and competition in the LPG market in the region, identifies emerging trends and develops strategies to effectively achieve / retain market leadership position.
- Makes monthly sales plans and coordinates with Operations and product suppliers for availability, prices, terms, etc.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate Degree / Diploma in Marketing
- 7-8 years experience in industrial marketing in a service oriented industry; a minimum of 2-3 years experience within the petroleum industry is a must. LP Gas background is an advantage.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work in a team is a must.
- Should be up to date with latest trends in the LPG market.
- Strong commercial acumen is necessary.
- Keeps aware of the Company’s Environment, Health & Safety Policy, Procedures, Regulations and Objectives and ensures they are effectively implemented in the scope of responsibility.
