Job summary

A premier event production company in Dubai is seeking an experienced accountant to manage financial accounting and support the Finance team. Qualifications

Job description
Your mission

As an accountant you are integral to the success of the Finance team and you ensure that the best possible outcome is achieved for the team and for BeWunder. You will showcase your skills abilities and expertise by ensuring your efforts and output will add value in the day to day lives of our clients their guests vendors and our team members.

  • Responsible for financial accounting and the proper execution of accounts receivable accounts payable and investment accounting including payment transactions.
  • First point of contact for issues relating to accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Bank postings.
  • Preparation support and monitoring of approval workflow for invoices.
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and will take over internal reporting tasks.
  • Posting accruals and deferrals.
  • Participation in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Work together with our tax advisor on annual financial statements and support with the year end audit with our external auditors.
  • Correspondence with internal and external contacts.
  • Handle cash flow transactions.
  • Support with ad-hoc tasks and projects.
  • Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the Finance Manager
  • Ensure compliance with taxation regulations generally accepted accounting principles German GAAP (HGB) / International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and organisational procedures.
Your profile
  • Part-qualified accountant degree in finance/accounting or qualified by experience.
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience is a must.
  • Experience with German sales tax required.
  • Skilled in working with ERP systems - knowledge of eGecko is a plus.
  • Very good command of the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook Excel Word Teams etc.).
  • Good communication skills and fluency in German (C1 level) and English (C1 level).
