Job summary

A leading educational consultancy in the UAE seeks an Accountant responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with KHDA and UAE laws. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, professional certification preferred, and 3–5 years of experience in a KHDA-regulated school or educational institution. This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding financial sustainability and supporting effective school governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a must.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a KHDA-regulated school or UAE educational institution.
  • Professional certification preferred (CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and auditable documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with KHDA, UAE laws and internal governance policies.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Manage student fee billing, collections, and discounts.
  • Support payroll processing and staff financial records.
  • Prepare documentation for audits and KHDA inspections.
  • Ensure transparent procurement and expenditure controls.
  • Uphold Islamic financial principles and ethical conduct.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of financial and student information.

The Accountant ensures accurate, transparent, and compliant financial operations in line with KHDA inspection frameworks, UAE regulations, and Islamic ethical values, supporting financial sustainability and effective school governance.
