General Purpose of Role:
This role maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. It ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. A clear understanding of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports is essential. The role involves analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
Global Level Summary: An intermediate level position following defined processes and precedents to complete assigned tasks with increasing independence, specific to the area of specialty. This level is regarded as a stage of continued training and development.
Decision Making: Under general supervision, work may be varied and somewhat difficult but limited in scope. The ability to recommend alternative theories and solutions is limited.
Supervision Received: Works under supervision and technical guidance with regular weekly interaction with a supervisor and/or manager. Broad duties are assigned weekly to monthly. Work is reviewed for accuracy, adequacy, and conformance with prescribed procedures.
Supervision Authority: May assign and review activities or work of junior staff but has no authority for performance evaluations impacting pay.
Communication: Proficiently communicates ideas and concepts, developing the ability to persuade and influence others as needed.
Systems, Processes & Tools: Intermediate understanding of systems, processes, and tools specifically related to Finance and Accounting.
