Job Summary

The Marketing and Communication Officer supports the university’s strategic objectives by executing marketing activities and communication initiatives that enhance institutional visibility, strengthen the university’s brand, and contribute to student recruitment and engagement. The role requires a motivated, detail‑oriented professional with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced academic environment.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing and Branding
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote academic programs, university events, and strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, digital content, presentations, and advertisements.
  • Collaborate with design and multimedia teams to produce high‑quality promotional materials.
  • Ensure all marketing outputs align with brand guidelines and institutional standards.
Communication
  • Assist in producing content that highlights university achievements, student/alumni success stories, and institutional updates including announcements, newsletters, and web content.
  • Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with prospective students and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute targeted email campaigns and automated drip sequences to support the student recruitment and call‑center teams in converting prospects into applicants and registrants.
Social Media Management
  • Manage and monitor official university social media accounts to increase engagement and visibility.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to support enrollment, events, and brand awareness.
  • Coordinate event postings with the Event Specialist and multimedia team to ensure timely promotion.
  • Monitor analytics to track performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
Website and Digital Presence
  • Assist the Webmaster with updates to website content and program pages to ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with departments to gather information and maintain timely updates across digital platforms.
Alumni & Employer Testimonials
  • Collaborate with the Careers & Alumni Department to gather alumni success stories and employer testimonials.
  • Produce and promote testimonial content in video, written, and digital formats to support student recruitment narratives and strengthen institutional reputation.
Podcast Production & Storytelling
  • Coordinate the planning, scripting, and production of the university’s podcast series.
  • Manage scheduling, recording logistics, guest coordination, and promotional rollouts.
  • Work with departments to identify themes and speakers aligned with institutional priorities.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is considered an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within a university or education‑related environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing.
  • Knowledge of branding principles and marketing best practices.
  • Knowledge of podcast production or audio/video content development is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with SEO, analytics tools, and email marketing platforms is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Language Proficiency Required
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Arabic is an asset.
