Assistant/Associate Professor Position in Artificial Intelligence

American University of Ras Al Khaimah

American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), Department of Computer Science and Engineering, invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate professor position beginning Fall 2026. Candidates for this position must hold a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence or a related computing major. The successful candidate should have the credentials to teach the following undergraduate courses: Advanced Programming, Machine Learning, Deep learning, Big Data, and Data Analytics. All classes and other campus activities are conducted only in English.

Primary Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate courses
• Establishing and/or continuing development of a nationally or internationally recognized research program
• Participating in department, school, and university committees
• Advising and mentoring students
• Participating in outreach activities, such as continuing education workshops
• Obtaining sponsored funding in support of research program

Required Qualifications

• Minimum qualification includes a doctoral degree in Artificial Intelligence or a related computing major from an accredited institution of higher education
• Effective oral and written English communication skills
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices, and excellence in scholarship
• Interest and experience in working effectively with a diverse student population
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines
