Job brief

TSU is seeking to recruit Freelance Riot and Crowd Control Officers. Officers will be deployed to various sites across the country as requested by clients and will often work away from home.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid driver's license (advantageous)
• Own transport (advantageous)
• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF level)
• Current PSIRA registration (Minimum Grade C)
• Security training certification (Grades)
• Riot training or Tactical training certificate
• Crowd control, crowd management, or public order management experience
• Full business SAPS firearm competency (Handgun, Shotgun, Carbine)
• Use and handle Handgun (advantageous)
• Use and handle Shotgun (compulsory)
• Use and handle Carbine (advantageous)
• Firearm statement of results for Handgun, Shotgun, and Carbine (if applicable)
• Valid Regulation 21 certificate (if available)
• Regular physical fitness tests
• Bank account confirmation
• ID Document
• SARS Tax Number (if applicable)
• At least 2 years' experience (advantageous)

• Excellent communication skills across all levels - face-to-face, telephonically, and via email
• Fluent in English with strong writing skills
• Planning and organizational skills
• Customer care, client liaison, and relationship-building skills
• Excellent telephone etiquette
• Good report writing skills
• Active listening skills
• Ability to handle pressure and remain calm under stressful situations

Remuneration is negotiable, depending on skills and experience.
