We are hiring experienced Travel Advisors for our retail division in Johannesburg.Our travel advisors provide world-class service by effectively managing and coordinating the selling and booking of holiday packages to an expanding and dedicated clientele in order to achieve personal and company sales targets, in line with the company strategy.ResponsibilitiesOffer professional travel advice and provide accurate and creative quotations to the customer by discussing their requirements.
The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction and acquire an expanding and dedicated clientele.Successfully achieve personal sales targets by actively closing the sale and converting quotations to bookings.Effectively manage booking administration processes including planning and preparation of cost itineraries, making flight, accommodation, and related bookings, actioning amendments and cancellations, and adhering to payment processes.Maintain high levels of quality and productivity by managing workload and meeting deadlines.Ensure processes are followed to reduce errors and losses and take pride in your quality of work.Offer world-class service, develop a culture, strive to exceed expectations, and offer a "wow" service to our customers.RequirementsTravel and Tourism CertificateProficient on a GDS, Amadeus preferredExcellent numeracy and literacy skills3-5 years of travel industry experience in a retail or tour operator environment with a proven record of reaching sales targetsPractical experience with compiling travel packages and creating costingsAble to work flexible hours (shift work)Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookGood geographical knowledgeThorough working knowledge of the reservations process from input to outputExperience with reading and interpreting contractsAbility to meet targets and attention to detail criticalEffective communication skills (effective written and verbal communication)BenefitsYou will be working within a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated individuals putting the satisfaction and safety of our customers at the heart of all we do.There will be plenty of leads, so no need for cold-calling.Unlimited learning and growth potential.Basic salary plus lucrative sales commission.Travel opportunities upon reaching and exceeding your targets.Please Note : If you have not heard anything from us after 2 weeks of applying, please consider your application unsuccessful.
