Job Function:

To formulate a tactical transport operations strategy and associated practice delivery plan, influencing operational implementation to enhance client satisfaction, reduce risk, and improve profitability.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Implement corporate governance and compliance policies to manage risk liabilities.
2. Analyze, interpret, and produce detailed reports explaining trends, discrepancies, and inconsistencies against planned activities.
3. Develop and ensure implementation of people capacity plans aligned with performance objectives.
4. Develop initiatives to enhance customer service excellence.
5. Implement and manage workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, reward and recognition, and employee relations to ensure an optimal working environment.
6. Create an engaging, enabling, and productive work climate aligned with the employee value proposition, demonstrating leadership through personal commitment to organizational values.
7. Develop a plan for practice changes, specifying the priorities of delivery plans and resources needed over 1 to 2 years.
8. Contribute to setting budgets, minimizing expenditure, and managing costs and assets effectively.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders to foster a culture of customer service excellence.

Qualifications:

• Degree (NQF Level 7)

Skills and Experience:

• Up to 8 years of experience in a similar environment, with at least 5 years in operational leadership or as a specialist.
• Proficient in business communication skills.
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations relevant to the role.
• Knowledge of labor relations procedures.
• Seasoned knowledge and skills in transport operations management.
