Head of Trade Sales – Premium Consumer Goods | Cape Town (Onsite)

We're on the lookout for an exceptional Head of Trade Sales to drive the next phase of our international wholesale growth — expanding our footprint with top-tier retailers and design‑led distribution partners around the world. If you're commercially astute, relationship‑driven, and passionate about premium products and disciplined brand building — this one's for you.

Your Mission: Lead and grow our global trade business while protecting the brand's premium positioning.

You'll balance strategy and execution — growing revenue, deepening partnerships, and ensuring brand consistency across every channel.

Key Focus Areas :

  • Market Development: Deliver year‑on‑year trade growth while opening new categories (hospitality, resort retail, design stores).
  • Retailer Relationships: Build trusted partnerships with senior buyers at leading international retailers; ensure flawless brand and pricing execution.
  • Sales Planning: Accurate forecasting, manage inventory and cash flow efficiently across global regions.
  • Data analytics driven.
  • Collaboration: Partner with brand, product, logistics and finance teams to align retail launches and feedback loops.
  • Brand Stewardship: Uphold premium presentation standards and protect long‑term brand equity.
Who You Are
  • 5–7 years' experience in international trade or wholesale sales within premium / design‑led consumer goods (home, lifestyle, outdoor, or fashion).
  • Confident managing global retail relationships and negotiating with senior buyers.
  • Commercially sharp, highly organised, and data‑driven.
  • Hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable in a growth‑stage environment.
  • A natural team mentor who embodies professionalism, kindness, and accountability.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field (MBA advantageous).

Experience with multi‑region logistics and 3PL partners (UK / EU / US / AUS) is a plus.

Location

This is an onsite role based in Cape Town. You'll need your own transport (mileage reimbursed at SARS rates).
