Our client, a well-established, trusted, and highly successful corporate commodity trading company specialising in international physical deliveries, is offering a permanent position for a Senior Logistics Coordinator.
Lead logistics operations across bulk agricultural commodity loads, ensuring compliance with transport contracts and company policies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with transporters, suppliers, and customers to secure capacity and service quality.
Negotiate transport pricing and manage contracts to optimise cost and efficiency.
Oversee the scheduling, allocation, and execution of transport loads, including stock delivery planning and weekly loading schedules.
Monitor trucks in real-time, manage ETAs, and proactively communicate updates to counterparties.
Ensure proper documentation flow: load confirmations, POD collection, and accurate data capturing on systems.
Manage supplier and transporter invoices, ensuring correct allocation and reconciliations.
Resolve escalated client, transport, and supplier queries, maintaining 24/7 availability when required.
Provide accurate operational reporting to management, including competitor and market intelligence.
Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes, systems, and service delivery.
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in logistics coordination, with a proven track record in bulk agricultural commodities highly beneficial.
Strong commercial and negotiation skills with an understanding of agricultural transport markets.
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
High level of professionalism and customer service orientation.
Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Availability for after-hours problem-solving and operational support.
