A leading nursery provider in Africa is looking for a Field Service Technician to provide exceptional after-sales support and maintenance for automation equipment. Ideal candidates should possess a mechanical engineering diploma and be comfortable with PLC systems, enjoying technical problem-solving. This role requires extensive travel to client sites across Africa, offering opportunities for hands-on experience with advanced technology and international exposure.

Qualifications

  • N6 or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering required.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and electrical principles preferred.
  • Exposure to PLC systems, especially Siemens, is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain nursery automation machines.
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and provide client training.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems.
  • Deliver on-site and remote technical support.
  • Travel extensively to client sites across Africa.
