Human Resources (HR) Consultant
This position is for an HR Consultant who plays a critical role in the day-to-day facilitation of HR responsibilities.
The role is split 50% HR and 50% Industrial Relations (IR).
The primary expectation is to effectively communicate with clients and resolve HR and IR-related queries in the mentioned
The goal is to ensure that clients remain legally compliant with HR documentation, EE and SDL submissions, and obtain sound legal / IR advice.
Address any employment relations issues.
Chair disciplinary hearings and draft outcomes.
Draft and administer CCMA documents (e.g., 7.11 and 7.13 referrals), objections to Con / Arb, and opposing affidavits.
Represent clients at conciliation and arbitration.
Facilitate retrenchment (draft Section notices and facilitate meetings).
Handle daily labour relations and IR assistance to clients.
Draft and finalize employment contracts, job descriptions, and HR policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and standards.
Draft notices, agreements, and HR-related documentation.
Prepare or update employment documents related to hiring, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
Oversee the hiring process, including coordinating job posts and performing reference checks.
Provide general HR support and daily assistance to clients.
Deal with queries via telephone and email.
Draft and distribute HR / IR newsletters.
Verify sick notes.
Draft various letters, including NTAS, suspension letters, and warnings (WW, FWW, CFWW), and apply sanction guidelines.
Handle online applications and digital document handling.
Manage Employment Equity (EE) duties and responsibilities.
Manage Skills Development (SD) duties and responsibilities.
Client maintenance and relationship management.
Client onboarding and onboarding plan development.
Excessive communication with clients and internal feedback to superiors.
Accountability for self, clients, co-workers, and seniors.
Extreme ownership – no blame shifting, take full responsibility.

Prioritising – effective task prioritisation, record keeping, and strict deadline setting.

Junior HR Consultant (Starting) : R14, per month.
Promotion to HR Consultant (After 3 months) : R16, per month.
Senior HR Consultant (After 6–9 months) : A fuel card and car allowance of R2, are typically added, depending on mileage.
All salaries are negotiable, depending on the candidate's experience and suitability.
