Job summary
A technology service provider in Cape Town is looking for an IT Support Engineer to administer and support user accounts, troubleshoot network issues, and provide support for end-user devices. The ideal candidate should have certifications like MCP, A+, N+, or M365, along with experience in desktop support and Office 365 services. The role offers a salary of up to R25,000 before tax deductions depending on experience and qualifications.
Qualifications
- Experience in desktop support and IT support roles.
- Certified in MCP, A+, N+, or M365.
- Knowledgeable in Office 365 and Azure.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support MS Active Directory and / or Entra ID.
- Provide support for end-user devices and Office 365 apps.
- Troubleshoot networking and security issues.
- Monitor and remediate security threats.

- Administer / support MS Active Directory and / or Entra ID, including creating, amending, and deleting user accounts.
- Supporting end-user devices (laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices), operating systems, and Office 365 apps.
- Troubleshoot networking and security issues.
- Monitor, investigate, and remediate security threats.
- Support anti-virus and security solutions.
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Office 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Intune)
- Resolve service requests in adherence to SLAs.
- Provide escalated support to IT Administrators.
- Support voice applications, video conferencing, and biometric access control equipment.
- Attend meetings and maintain accurate documentation.
- MCP / A+ / N+ / M365 Certified Administrator or equivalent
- Experience in desktop support / Tier 1 IT Support Engineer
- Experience with Office 365 and Azure installation and support, and installing and troubleshooting laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Up to R25 000 before tax deductions - Dependant on experience, qualifications, etc.
