How You'll Make an Impact
- A very good understanding and appreciation for the inner workings of steam turbine components exposed to elevated as well as transient temperature conditions and turbo compressors.
- Be familiar with documentation management systems and understand limits of authority when selecting specific repair solutions.
- Develop relationships with colleagues in the specialized repairs network for compressors and steam turbines.
- Ability to compile fact-finding and service reports as well as the compilation of new state-of-the-art repair or manufacturing procedures including the qualification thereof.
- Support the order management team with specific customer enquiry requirements for project planning and costing.
- Support the service center engineers with fact-finding on customer equipment compiling fact-finding reports with repair recommendations.
- Support the development of Digital Inspection Jacket and advanced inspection techniques in the service center as well as in the field service environment should it be needed.
- Selection or development and qualification of specific repair solutions for projects, be that in the workshop or on the customer site.
- Grow the Wadeville service center complex repairs capabilities.
- Foster the established relationship with the PCC's for the development and qualification of new repair or manufacturing solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with service providers in testing and qualification of repair solution procedures.
- Build and maintain relationships with service providers in the latest state-of-the-art repairs processes.
- Evaluate problematic turbo-machinery process data for fault finding support.
- Mentor colleagues and support the development of the engineers in training.
- Recommended scope of work presentation and clarifications with customer representatives.
What You Bring
- A national diploma in mechanical engineering with at least 15 years of experience in rotating equipment will be the minimum requirement.
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 10 years of experience in rotating equipment repairs.
- A minimum of fifteen years in the turbo-machinery and repairs center environment.
