EY is looking for a professional to join its team of accountants, lawyers, and tax professionals in the Incentives team. EY Incentives is part of Ernst & Young Global Limited, a multinational professional services network headquartered in London, England. EY offers a specialised grants and tax incentives consultancy, providing focused and efficient value-added services to clients.

As a senior consultant in EY's Government Grants and Incentives team, you will have the opportunity to advise some of the largest companies in the world on incentives available from the Department of Trade Industry and Competition (dtic).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with quantifying opportunities to benefit from investment incentive grants and tax allowances.
• Assist clients with investment incentive and tax allowance compliance, including completing applications and claims.
• Advise clients on opportunities for investment incentives and tax allowances.
• Develop and operationalize grant applications for investment projects.
• Understand the impact of programme changes and project developments on incentives.
• Assist with remedial actions and identify new opportunities for investment grants and allowances.
• Develop relationships with clients and administering authorities.
• Support team activities such as updating trackers, administration, and risk processes.

Minimum Requirements

• B. Com Degree, preferably with an accounting major.
• Business acumen and understanding of industrial and manufacturing processes (preferable).
• Experience in advisory environments is advantageous.
