Job summary

Lubanzi Wines in Cape Town seeks a driven Local Sales Specialist to grow our presence across the Western Cape. This field-based role centers on new business development, account management, and on-the-ground marketing through tastings and partnerships.

You will cold-call, manage accounts, organize tastings, and report to the Head of African Sales. Travel daily with a valid license; base salary is R25,000 per month plus a 6% local sales commission.

Qualifications

• Based in Cape Town or nearby.
• Valid driver''s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (wine cases and event equipment).
• Willingness to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with confidence in selling in person.
• Self-motivated, organized and able to work independently in the field.
• Experience in sales/marketing or wine/hospitality is advantageous.
• Passion for wine and knowledge of the Western Cape landscape is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Proactively cold call and prospect new retail, restaurant, and hospitality accounts across the Western Cape.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing accounts for high service levels.
• Increase Lubanzi''s visibility and product distribution in the Western Cape.
• Plan and execute wine tastings, in-store activations, and marketing partnerships.
• Represent Lubanzi Wines at trade events, tastings, and promotions.
• Transport, set up, and break down marketing and tasting materials.
• Track sales activity, account status and market feedback to the Head of African Sales.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing on regional strategy and calendars.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
