Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced HR Operations Manager to lead the delivery of HR services for a global, fully remote team. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management of HR processes, data integrity, and compliance, while coordinating with cross‑functional HR partners.

You will drive efficiency, establish standardized policies, and guide a geographically dispersed team from a Bloemfontein base for administrative purposes if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree is an advantage.
• 6+ years experience in HR operations management or similar roles.
• Proven experience in HR processes, HRIS systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of global HR practices and labor laws.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement process improvements.
• Proficiency in HRIS platforms and HR technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR operational processes including onboarding, offboarding, data management, and HRIS administration.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations across jurisdictions.
• Manage and develop the HR Operations team with guidance and support.
• Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures for consistency and fairness.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance HR efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage HR projects including system implementations and process re-engineering.
• Develop and track HR metrics and KPIs, reporting trends and performance.
• Serve as point of contact for complex HR operational queries and escalations.
• Ensure security and integrity of HR data.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and L&D for integrated service delivery.
