Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join its fully remote team in South Africa. You will shape and execute HR strategies, partnering with executives to drive performance, engagement, and organizational development across a distributed workforce.

You will lead talent management, succession planning, compensation and benefits, and HRIS initiatives, ensuring compliance with SA labour laws while fostering a high-trust culture with a remote-first approach.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience
• Minimum 3 years in a Business Partner role
• Experience in tech/fast-paced environments is preferred
• Strong knowledge of SA labour law
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals for a remote workforce.
• Partner with senior leadership to guide talent management, performance, and org development.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, engagement, retention and offboarding in a distributed setup.
• Design remote-friendly engagement programs to foster belonging.
• Act as advisor on career development, conflict resolution, HR policy guidance.
• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across the remote workforce.
• Analyze HR data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with SA labour laws across jurisdictions.
