Job summary

FirstRand Limited is seeking an Account Executive for Public Sector Banking in Sandton. You will oversee a portfolio of public sector clients, provide strategic guidance, and cross-sell a range of transactional, lending, and investment products.

Qualifications

Matric plus a FAIS-recognised post-Matric qualification.
4+ years' experience in Business/Commercial/Private Wealth/Private Clients banking with at least 2–3 years judgmental credit and relationship management experience.
RE5 - fit and proper as this role is a FAIS affected role.
Willing to travel.
In-depth understanding of government operations and the legislative framework in which they operate.
Understanding of public sector trends and banking system operations.

Responsibilities

Compile reports that track progress and guide business decisions.
Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership in area of expertise.
Negotiate and provide solutions through deal structuring for low to medium complex clients.
Manage existing portfolio and acquire new client accounts to drive growth and sales.
Define a sales and portfolio strategy to achieve sales targets.
