Job summary

FirstRand Bank India is seeking an Account Executive to oversee a portfolio of Public Sector Banking clients of low to medium complexity, delivering strategic guidance and cross-selling opportunities across transactional, lending and investment products. You will work within FNB Commercial Public Sector to grow the portfolio, acquire new clients, and drive sales in a dynamic environment.

The role requires FAIS eligibility, RE5 fitness, and a willingness to travel, with responsibilities spanning

Qualifications

• Have a minimum of a Matric plus a FAIS-recognised post-Matric qualification
• Have 4+ years' experience in Business/Commercial/Private Wealth/Private Clients banking, with at least 2 to 3 years judgmental credit and relationship management experience
• Have RE5 - fit and proper as this role is a FAIS affected role
• Are willing to travel
• Have in-depth understanding of government operations and the legislative framework within which they operate
• Understand the various industry dynamics which impact on the business including a researched understanding of the public sector trends
• Understand how the banking system operates

Responsibilities

• Compile reports that track progress and guide business decisions
• Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership
• Participate in activities for personal and employee development
• Ensure compliance with legislative and audit requirements and processes
• Attend to expired limits and review credit proposals
• Negotiate and structure deals for low to medium complex clients
• Manage existing portfolio and acquire new client accounts to drive growth
• Define sales and portfolio strategy to meet targets
• Build relationships across teams to improve delivery and collaboration
• Identify revenue opportunities and improve service delivery to meet customer expectations
• Identify wastage and drive process improvements to reduce costs
