Job summary

NTT DATA in Cape Town is seeking a Networking Managed Services Engineer (L3) to lead high-complexity incidents, resolve issues, and drive automation. You will mentor junior members and create knowledge articles to uplift the team.

You will ensure client infrastructure is monitored, configured, tested, and operational, with proactive problem detection and collaboration with third-party vendors to deliver excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven skills and knowledge of Ansible and Python is essential.
• Proven working knowledge of utilizing monitoring tooling to troubleshoot and recognise event/incident patterns.
• Working knowledge of Cisco and Aruba switching technologies.
• Working knowledge of enterprise wi-fi technologies (at least one of the following is essential – Cisco, Aruba, Meraki).
• Proven understanding of firewall technologies, policies and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead in providing exceptional managed services to clients.
• Identify root cause of critical incidents and implement solutions.
• Create knowledge articles for frequent tasks/issues and train junior team members.
• Provide inputs to automation teams to reduce manual efforts.
• Onsite technical support and field engineering services when required.
