Placements24 is seeking a Senior Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join a remote-first HR team. You will design, implement, and manage compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate talent across the organization, ensuring competitive, equitable reward strategies aligned with business goals and market trends.

As a remote employee, you will collaborate with global HR teams and local leadership to deliver C&B solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, or related field.
• Master's degree or CCP/CBP certification is highly desirable.
• 5–7 years of progressive C&B experience in tech or multinationals.
• Deep knowledge of compensation philosophies, job grading, pricing.
• Strong SA regulatory knowledge and analytic skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; advanced Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
• Executive compensation design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs.
• Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to stay industry-aligned.
• Oversee annual compensation reviews, salary increases, bonuses, merit.
• Manage benefits programs: medical aid, retirement funds, life insurance, wellness.
• Ensure compliance with SA compensation/benefits laws.
• Create clear communications for employees about C&B programs.
• Collaborate with HRBP and leaders for expert C&B guidance.
• Analyze C&B data to identify trends and measure effectiveness.
• Liaise with external vendors for benefits and compensation services.
• Lead or contribute to strategic C&B projects.
