Job summary

Placements24 seeks a seasoned Senior Automotive Service Advisor for a leading franchised dealership in Randburg, Gauteng. You will be the main liaison between customers and the service team, delivering accurate recommendations and outstanding service.

You will greet customers, perform vehicle walk-arounds, translate concerns into repair orders, and provide clear cost estimates. A minimum of 4 years in a similar role with DMS experience is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as Automotive Service Advisor, with at least 1 year in a senior/lead role.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Proficiency in using dealership management systems (DMS) and service scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and record service requests accurately.
• Perform vehicle walk-arounds with customers to identify needs.
• Translate concerns into clear repair orders.
• Provide cost and time estimates for services and repairs, and explain them clearly.
• Schedule service appointments and manage workflow in the service department.
• Maintain open communication with customers regarding repair status.
• Upsell appropriate services and products per dealership guidelines.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
• Process customer payments and maintain service records.
• Strive to meet and exceed departmental service targets and customer satisfaction.
