Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Security Managed Services Engineer (L2) in Johannesburg to provide second-line support for security infrastructures and systems. You will monitor, diagnose, and remediate incidents, perform advanced troubleshooting, and contribute to project work as needed.

You should have hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto, and Check Point platforms, and strong knowledge of network security concepts, incident management, and security governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
• Certifications such as Fortinet NSE / FCP, PCNSE and CCSA are preferred.
• Experience in MSSP or managed services environment is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of firewall administration and security governance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an L2 escalation point for security incidents and operational issues.
• Monitor and support enterprise security infrastructure for performance and availability.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and remediation across security platforms.
• Contribute to incident, change, and problem management activities.
• Assist with documentation and adherence to security standards.
