Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated candidate to start a career in IT support as a Junior IT Support Apprentice. This fully remote role offers hands-on training and mentorship while you learn essential technical skills from home.

You will provide first-line support, troubleshoot basic hardware, software and networking issues, and gradually take on more complex tasks as you gain experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote interaction.
• Ability to follow instructions and troubleshoot systematically.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to end-users via remote channels (phone, email, chat).
• Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Document IT support incidents, solutions, and user guides.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary, following established procedures.
