Placements24 is seeking eager Remote Apprentice IT Support Specialists to join our client’s team. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for users across the organization in a fully remote setup, learning from experienced IT professionals.

This role focuses on diagnostic skills, customer service, and IT infrastructure knowledge, with comprehensive training, mentorship, and a pathway to a permanent IT Support Specialist position after completion.

Qualifications

• Completed secondary education (Matric or equivalent).
• Interest in IT and a foundational understanding of computer systems and networks.
• Strong problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely and manage time independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical assistance to users for hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, and chat.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems promptly and efficiently, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Document user requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system.
• Assist with user account management, including creation, modification, and deletion.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT knowledge base articles and support guides.
