Job summary

Placements24 is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as Apprentice IT Support Technicians, working remotely from Mossel Bay. This apprenticeship builds foundational IT support skills, diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues, and assisting with IT infrastructure maintenance.

You will learn to manage user accounts, document solutions, and pursue industry IT certifications, under the guidance of experienced mentors in a fully remote team.

Qualifications

• Completed Matric (or equivalent).
• Strong interest in technology and IT support.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows/macOS, and common software.
• Good communication and remote interaction skills.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical assistance to users via phone, email, and chat for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of user workstations and peripherals.
• Document support requests, solutions, and user guides in a knowledge base.
• Participate in online training sessions and work towards IT support certifications.
