Placements24 is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join its Apprentice IT Support Specialist program in Sandton. This remote-first role offers hands-on experience in IT support, network administration, and systems maintenance under the guidance of seasoned IT professionals.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with user accounts, and provide technical help to employees as you build a foundation for a career in IT within the company’s digital operations.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent with strong aptitude for technology.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software and networking concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for remote support.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users via remote channels (phone, email, chat).
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
• Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Document technical issues and resolutions in the help desk system.
