Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Service Desk Technician for a contract role with fully remote work flexibility. You will be the first line of support for employees, handling hardware, software, and network issues from a remote setup, with periodic team meetings in Sandton.

The role requires experience in IT service desks, strong Windows and Office knowledge, and familiarity with remote tools and ticketing systems.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and remote assistance tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues, including hardware, software, and network connectivity problems.
• Install, configure, and deploy computer hardware and software.
• Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
• Document all service desk tickets, resolutions, and user requests accurately.
