Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a skilled and responsive Remote Helpdesk Technician to join their distributed technical support team, supporting users across various locations including Stellenbosch. You will be responsible for providing first-line technical assistance and support related to computer systems, software, and hardware, all from your remote workspace.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills, experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems, and the ability to communicate
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a helpdesk or customer support role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, common software, and network fundamentals.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to users of all levels.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical assistance and support for computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Respond to service tickets promptly, prioritizing and escalating as needed.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Walk customers through problem-solving processes for technical issues.
- Maintain records of hardware/software inventory and user information.
