Job summary

Real Hires LLC in South Africa is seeking an HR Employee Coordinator who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and keeping things organized. You’ll support employees from day one to offboarding, coordinate onboarding, address concerns, track performance, and help create a positive work experience.

As a strong communicator with initiative, you’ll conduct check-ins, monitor engagement and attendance, document interactions, and escalate serious issues to the HR Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR, employee relations, HR coordination or a similar people-focused role.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with employees.
• Ability to handle sensitive concerns with empathy, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple employees, follow-ups and priorities.
• Experience with onboarding, offboarding, or employee engagement is a plus.
• Familiarity with Monday.com or similar project management tools is an advantage.
• A proactive mindset, good judgment and the ability to work independently.
• A strong sense of ownership and a commitment to following through.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onboarding communication and guide new hires through the process.
• Coordinate onboarding sessions and Day 1 client contact and check-ins.
• Keep employee information accurate and updated on the Check-ins Board.
• Monitor employee engagement, attendance, and performance concerns.
• Address payroll, attendance and workplace concerns, and help employees work through challenges.
• Prepare and issue improvement plans when appropriate.
• Escalate serious or unresolved concerns to the HR Manager.
• Track issues and follow through until they’re resolved.
• Document employee interactions, action items and follow-ups in Monday.com.
