Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Remote Energy Storage Systems Integrator to join its remote engineering team. This fully remote role supports customers within South Africa, focusing on design, development, and integration of ESS with grid infrastructure and renewable sources.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in Electrical/Computer Engineering with power systems focus and 7+ years in ESS or power electronics, including BMS/PCS/SCADA, MATLAB/Simulink, and PSCAD.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with power systems specialization.
• (7+ years) design/integration/commissioning of energy storage or power electronics.
• Experience with BMS, PCS, and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure ESS with batteries, inverters, and control hardware.
• Develop control strategies and software for ESS operation and grid interaction.
• Conduct system-level simulations and performance analyses for optimal integration.
• Specify components and manage vendor relationships for ESS hardware and software.
• Ensure ESS compliance with grid codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate remotely with project teams including electrical engineers and software developers.
• Develop commissioning plans and provide remote support during ESS deployment and testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ESS integration and operation.
• Stay informed about emerging trends in energy storage and grid integration.
