Placements24 seeks an Energy Storage Systems Specialist to design, integrate, and optimize battery storage for grid-tied, microgrid, and behind-the-meter applications. This remote role collaborates with a global team of engineers and project managers to deliver cutting-edge storage solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical engineering, 5+ years with energy storage, and proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and PSS/E, with a focus on safety and grid interconnection standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in design, integration, or operation of energy storage systems.
• Strong knowledge of battery chemistries and power conversion systems.
• Proficiency with simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, PSS/E) and design software.
• Understanding of grid interconnection requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer BESS solutions including component selection and system architecture.
• Model and simulate to predict performance, efficiency, lifespan.
• Develop technical specifications, datasheets, and integration plans.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and vendors for successful implementation.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for BESS deployments.
• Analyze data to optimize performance and identify improvements.
• Stay current with advances in battery tech, EMS, and power electronics.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BESS installations.
