Placements24 is seeking a Remote Energy Storage Systems Specialist with deep expertise in battery storage, electrochemistry, and power electronics to design, implement, and optimize ESS projects for global clients. This fully remote role leverages your ability to work across engineering, project development, and operations teams.

You will evaluate battery chemistries, inverters, and EMS/DER solutions, develop performance models and integration strategies, and ensure safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 6+ years in energy storage.
• Deep knowledge of battery chemistries (Li-ion, flow) and power electronics.
• Experience with EMS and DER management.
• Proficiency in energy storage modeling and simulation tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify ESS for grid-scale, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Evaluate battery technologies, inverters, and control systems for projects.
• Develop technical specs, performance models, and integration strategies for ESS.
• Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic analyses for storage projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely, cost-effective ESS installations.
• Troubleshoot ESS performance, operation, and maintenance issues.
• Stay updated on battery tech, power electronics, and energy management.
• Develop control strategies for optimal ESS operation, including grid services.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Provide technical training and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
