Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Power Systems Engineer focused on energy storage. You will design, analyze, and optimize advanced battery storage systems and microgrids from a fully remote setup, contributing to grid modernization and clean energy adoption.

The role requires 5+ years in power systems engineering with energy storage or renewables, expertise in BMS/PCS, and proficiency with PSS/E, ETAP, and MATLAB/Simulink.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in power systems engineering with energy storage or renewable integration.
• In-depth knowledge of Li-ion batteries, BMS, PCS, and microgrid architectures.
• Experience with power system simulation tools (PSS/E, ETAP, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Strong communication and ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer scalable ESS, including BMS and PCS.
• Develop specs, schematics, and control strategies for microgrids and hybrids.
• Perform system-level analysis including power flow, stability, and grid interconnection studies.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate and test components.
• Provide remote technical support for deployed ESS installations worldwide.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in energy storage and grid modernization.
