Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Electrical Systems Engineer to lead the integration of renewable energy sources into power grids. You will design and implement grid-connected electrical systems for solar, wind, and battery storage projects, focusing on stability and reliability in a remote setting.

A Master’s in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems or Renewable Energy), 7+ years in grid integration, and proficiency with PSS/E, PSCAD, or ETAP are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems or Renewable Energy.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering with emphasis on grid integration and renewables.
• Experience with grid interconnection standards and battery energy storage systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical systems for interconnection of renewable energy projects to the grid.
• Perform power system studies including stability, load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination.
• Develop specifications for grid connection equipment and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with grid codes and standards (IEEE, IEC).
• Collaborate with project teams, grid operators, and stakeholders to execute projects.
• Troubleshoot issues related to renewable energy integration.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Manage timelines and budgets related to grid integration.
