Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
- ≥6 years in power systems engineering focusing on grid integration of DERs.
- In-depth knowledge of power system dynamics, stability, and protection.
- Experience with grid simulation software (PSS/E, ETAP, PowerFactory, DIgSILENT).
- Registered Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.) with ECSA is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Analyze impact of solar, wind, and DERs on grid stability and power quality.
- Develop and refine interconnection standards and procedures for new generation.
- Conduct power flow, short-circuit, and stability studies with grid software.
- Collaborate with regulators, developers, and internal teams to enable project integration.
- Identify grid constraints and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
