Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Power Systems Engineer for a fully remote role. You will lead advanced studies and designs for grid stability, energy storage, and renewable integration, collaborating with a distributed team.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) with 7+ years of experience and strong knowledge of grid codes and interconnection standards.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
• 7+ years of experience in power system analysis, design, and operation.
• Strong knowledge of grid codes, interconnection requirements, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced power system studies (load flow, short circuit, stability, protection coordination).
• Design interconnection strategies for renewable projects and energy storage.
• Develop specifications for transformers, switchgear, relays, and generators.
• Contribute to microgrid and DER design and implementation.
• Analyze power quality issues and propose solutions.
• Model power systems using PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD or PowerWorld.
