Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Remote Electrical Systems Architect to define the high-level architecture for smart grids, renewable integration, and energy storage, collaborating with distributed teams from a home office.

You will drive technical strategy, evaluate technologies, and produce blueprints while guiding implementations across international projects and staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years in electrical system design with at least 5 years in an architectural or lead technical role.
• Deep understanding of power systems, microgrids, renewables, storage, and interconnection standards.
• Proven experience defining complex architectures for large-scale deployments.
• Experience with simulation and modeling tools for power systems analysis.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural vision and strategy for smart grid, renewable integration, and energy storage.
• Develop high-level system designs including power flow, control logic, and data management.
• Collaborate remotely with diverse engineering teams across disciplines and time zones.
• Provide technical leadership on best practices ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Conduct feasibility studies and performance analyses for proposed architectures.
• Author technical documentation and architectural proposals.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and present designs.
